The Sustainable Furnishings Council is a non-profit coalition of producers, specifiers and retailers of green furnishings with 250 members currently.  This is a great resource to locate products.  One of the board members is Mike Italiano, who founded the USGBC among other things and is very passionate about this issue, as I learned when we met a few years ago in Chicago, Illinois.

Sierra Club turns their enviro-advocacy from the outdoors to the indoors. Their new site helps consumers find products that are in their words "homes more energy efficient, environmentally sustainable and healthy." This link will take you to advice about eco-friendly cabinets.
